Privacy Policy

Doneberry (“Doneberry,” “we,” “us”) is a personal task manager operated by Ignore Instructions LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect as little as we can.
The short version: we store your account and the tasks you create so the app works and syncs across your devices. We don’t sell your data or show you ads. You can export or delete your data at any time.
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account we collect an email address. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple gives us your name (if you share it) and an email address — which may be a private relay address if you choose “Hide My Email.” We never receive your Apple password.
Your content
The tasks, projects, labels, reminders, notes, and settings you create in the app. This content is yours; we store it only to provide the service and sync it between your devices.
Subscription information
If you purchase Doneberry Pro, the purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store and managed via RevenueCat. We receive your subscription status (active, expired, product purchased) so we can unlock Pro features. We never receive or store your payment card or full billing details — Apple handles payment.
Technical & diagnostic data
Basic technical information such as app version, device type, and operating system, plus any crash or error diagnostics needed to keep the app reliable. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
Usage analytics
To understand how the app is used and improve it, we collect anonymous usage events (for example, that a task was created or completed, or that a screen was viewed) via PostHog. These events are metadata only — we never collect your task content (titles, notes, labels, or any text you enter). You can turn analytics off anytime in Settings → Privacy → “Share usage analytics.”
2. How we use your information
- To provide and sync the app across your devices.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To deliver reminders and notifications you ask for.
- To unlock and manage Doneberry Pro entitlements.
- To diagnose problems, fix bugs, and improve the app.
- To respond to your support requests.
3. How your data is stored and protected
Your account and content are stored on Supabase (a managed PostgreSQL platform) on our behalf. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS. Access is governed by row-level security, meaning each account can only read and write its own data. We restrict internal access to what is necessary to operate and support the service.
4. Service providers we share data with
We share limited information only with providers that help us run Doneberry, and only as needed:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and hosting of your account and content.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, App Store payments, and push notification delivery.
- RevenueCat — subscription management and receipt validation for Doneberry Pro.
- PostHog — product analytics (how features are used), to improve the app. Configured to collect usage events only, never your task content.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
5. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your content and personal information from our active systems within 30 days, except where we must retain limited records to comply with legal obligations (for example, transaction records).
6. Your rights and choices
You can:
- Access and edit your tasks and account details directly in the app.
- Export your data — email us and we’ll provide a copy.
- Delete your account and all associated content from the app’s Settings, or by emailing us at support@doneberry.com.
- Opt out of usage analytics anytime in Settings → Privacy → “Share usage analytics.”
Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA, UK, or California), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to object or lodge a complaint with your local authority. Contact us to exercise any of these rights.
7. Children
Doneberry is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app or by email.
